Manchester is the biggest city in the north, so whilst a lot of it certainly is walkable, it might be worth hopping on a tram or bus to get you from the Northern Quarter to the south of the city.
Some people say, ‘it’s grim up north’, but they’re just jealous of our dead cheap northern prices. A night out in Manchester won’t cost you a fortune (unless you’re in Spinningfields which is well posh), but the memories will be priceless.
Manchester has the nickname ‘rainy city’, but it doesn’t rain all the time…. Honest!
