Newcastle's Best

BUILD YOUR newcastle STAG

Us Geordies love a good old pub crawl, especially when it’s in our neck of the woods.

The Toon is pretty darn special when it comes to beer and real ale (if we do say so ourselves), so let us guide you through a magical journey around all of the local watering holes that are excellent haunts for those of us partial to a pint or ten.

Let's get started.

1. The Bridge Tavern

7 Akenside Hill, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE1 3UF

What better place to begin our pub crawl in the Toon, than right under our very finest and most iconic landmark, the Tyne Bridge?

The award winning Bridge Tavern has an extremely quaint, chilled out and atmospheric ambiance, with a fantastic rooftop terrace to spill out onto on a warm evening. The tavern is even host to an impressive, fully operational, two hectolitre micro-brewery, which is well worth a look at.

As well as selling ten cask pumps from UK-wide breweries, keg beers and bottled world beers, the in house brewer creates batches of cask and keg ale daily which you can sample and buy. Locally sourced, seasonal food is available; from bar snacks, light bites, leisurely lunches, evening meals and Sunday roasts.
